¿Qué es el kit de distribución o de tiempo?
El motor de un auto lo componen muchos elementos imprescindibles, uno de ellos es el kit de distribución. ¿Por que es imprescindible? Porque es el encargado de sincronizar el funcionamiento del motor y tiene que ver directamente con sus 4 tiempos o sea Admisión, Compresión, Explosión y Escape y de ahí su importancia, entre otras funciones.
¿Qué componen un kit de distribucion?
Un kit de distribución o de tiempo generalmente son identificados por una cadena o una correa de distribución, que son sus componente principales, pero no los únicos. Estos kit se componen de varias piezas como pueden ser poleas tensores y tornillería, estos componentes varían mucho en dependencia del motor en específico.
Ahora ¿Correa o Cadena?
Algunos fabricantes apuestan por utilizar en la distribución de tiempo del motor por cadenas o correas. Dígase cadena, por una cadena casi igual a las cadenas de las bicicletas comunes y correa sería similar a la cadena pero de caucho y dentada. Esta configuración influye en el costo del motor, aunque no directamente, pero sí se tiene en cuenta ya que la durabilidad de una u otra es considerable, casi el doble. Pero una desventaja de los motores con kit de cadena, independientemente de que suelen ser un poco más caros, –comparándolos a similitud– son que son un poco más ruidosos que los de kit de correa.
Cada vehiculo tiene sus especificaciones a la hora de sustituir su kit de tiempo pero generalmente la distribución de cadena dura el doble de una de caucho dentada, pero esto no quiere decir que no se debe tener en cuenta su revisión.
En un auto de uso normal su cambio de kit de cadenas, dependiendo del motor, está alrededor de los 200.000 kilómetros pero se debe tener en cuenta que en la actualidad, con el auge de las plataformas, ya hay un gran número de vehículos que llevan un uso más de lo normal y aunque no a tiempo completo, pero sí hay muchos usuarios que en sus tiempos libres utilizan sus autos para prestar servicios privados y piensan que como no es a tiempo completo no habrá un desgaste considerable y es cuando vienen los dolores de cabeza.
¿Cuándo debemos cambiar nuestro kit de distribucion?
Como mencionamos los kit de cadenas duran, generalmente, más que los de caucho, de ahí que si tu auto es de distribución por correa debes tener en cuenta su revisión ya que, dependiendo de la velocidad a que estés transitando, se fractura la correa de distribución, los daños en tu motor serán catastróficos.
Por lo que aconsejamos revisar el manual de su auto y checar a qué kilometraje se le debe cambiar su kit de tiempo ya sea de cadena o de correa, porque en ambos casos, al ser muy importantes en el funcionamiento del motor, los daños para este sería elevados y hasta irreversibles.
